For this challenge, I set out to redesign an entire landing page within a short timeframe. I chose the H&M landing page as my subject because I believe its current design and user-friendliness are no longer up-to-date. Thus, it seemed appropriate to use this page for a redesign.
Original H&M home page
During this redesign challenge, I started by thoroughly researching and analyzing the original H&M landing page design. One noticeable aspect was its narrow layout, with content sections separated by small margins and numerous navigation elements. Additionally, there were limited direct articles featured on the homepage.
In contrast, other clothing webshops targeting a similar audience, such as Pull&Bear, Monki, Zalando, and Bershka, use wider layouts, vibrant colors/patterns, and large product images.
After my research, I proceeded to create my initial wireframes. These wireframes experimented with various content sections commonly found on clothing websites, including discounts, social media (Instagram hashtags), product promotions, memberships, magazines, and brand information.

I digitally translated the final wireframe into Figma.
The content order is based on priority. The initial sections encourage visitors to make a purchase, while later sections are more informative and cater to visitors seeking more information about the clothing, H&M as a brand/company, and potential memberships.

The theme of the landing page is "New Summer Collection." Most of the images used are sourced from the H&M website. As for the colors, I conducted research on the 2022 summer trends, such as apple green, hot pink, and butter yellow, and from there, I developed a suitable color palette to complement the theme.

The final result emerged from various iterations where I experimented with different images and colors. It's a fresh design with a wide layout, incorporating various content sections. The chosen colors create a cohesive look that perfectly aligns with the 2022 summer trends.
